1.22.10 JIMMY TAY-MAN
So I go to WAMC on Tuesday determined to ask if we could broadcast the James Taylor concert; before I could open my mouth, Alan Chartock offers it to us. One problem: WAMC's stream was likely to be unreliable because of the crunch of global demand, and we technically couldn't access the NPR feed. So we had to hook an FM receiver into the board. Second problem: we couldn't get a strong WAMC signal in Studio A. So we got a whole bunch of antenna wire and ran it up and down the hallway. Problems solved!
